Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to submit my application?

Applications are processed based on submission date within each priority group. To secure a spot, we recommend applying as early as possible. Additionally, registering before 30 April 2025 allows you to benefit from a discount!

Can my child transfer from another school during the year?

Yes, mid-year admissions are possible, subject to availability. Students transferring from another French school benefit from seamless continuity due to our adherence to the French curriculum. Parents should provide academic transcripts, proof of previous schooling, and relevant documents for assessment.

What is the minimum age to enroll at EFIP?

EFIP welcomes children from the year of birth.

Do children have to be French-speaking?

No, EFIP accepts students regardless of their French proficiency. There is no language requirement for kindergarten entry. However, for primary and elementary levels, prior exposure to French is beneficial. The school provides a French as a Language of Schooling (FLSco) program to support non-French-speaking students.

Are there other languages than French at EFIP?

Yes, English and Albanian. In elementary school, students choose between two pedagogical options:

  • Option 1: 16 hours of French / 7 hours of English / 3 hours of Albanian
  • Option 2: 16 hours of French / 7 hours of Albanian / 3 hours of English

The option is selected at the beginning of the academic year but can be adjusted based on the child’s needs.

What additional services does EFIP offer?

EFIP provides several services to support families, including:

  • After-school daycare (free of charge)
  • School transportation
  • A school canteen offering balanced meals
  • Extracurricular activities such as sports, theater, and reading clubs
What are the tuition fees?

Tuition fees vary depending on the child’s grade level (nursery, kindergarten, primary school, middle school, high school). There are also three fee categories based on the family’s situation: Kosovar families, French families, and families whose fees are partially or fully covered by their employer. French families have the option to apply for a scholarship through the French Embassy in Kosovo.

Additionally, discounts are offered to families with multiple children, depending on the number of children enrolled. We encourage you to contact the school for specific pricing based on your family’s situation.

It’s important to note that tuition fees do not cover transportation or canteen costs, as these services are optional.

The tuition fees are used to ensure the proper functioning of the school.

Do you offer a discount for siblings?

Yes, EFIP provides sibling discounts:

  • 2nd child: -15%
  • 3rd child: -20%
  • 4th child: -20%

(Discounts apply only to school fees and do not apply to employer-funded tuition. The reduction is applied to the youngest child.)

Do you offer financial assistance?

EFIP does not offer internal scholarships. However, it is possible to apply for financial aid through the Embassy of France in Kosovo. To apply for a school scholarship, the child must meet the following criteria:

  • Be of French nationality
  • Reside with his/her family (father and/or mother, legal guardian) in Kosovo
  • Be at least 3 years old in the calendar year of the school year
  • Be registered with the French Embassy in Kosovo

The allocation of a school scholarship depends on the financial resources of the household and property.
