Admissions

When does enrollment for the 2025/2026 academic year begin?

Enrollment opens in March 2025. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and placements are subject to availability. Early registration by April 30, 2025, qualifies for discounts: -25% for the first child and -40% for the second child. Read more.

When can I start the registration process?
The registration process can begin at any time. EFIP’s Admissions Department is open year-round, and students are admitted throughout the school year, depending on space availability.

What documents are required for enrollment?

Required documents include:

  • Child’s identity document or passport

  • Certificate of withdrawal from the previous school

  • Copy of vaccination record

  • School record book

  • Parents’ identity document or passport

  • Proof of individual accident and health insurance in Kosovo

Who can apply to EFIP?
EFIP welcomes students of all nationalities from the year of birth to 18. Applications are reviewed based on available spaces and the student’s academic records.

Is there an admissions test?
EFIP does not require a formal entrance exam. However, assessments may be conducted to determine the appropriate class level and support needed.

Language & Curriculum

Is prior knowledge of French required for admission?
No, EFIP accepts students regardless of their French proficiency. There is no language requirement for kindergarten entry. However, for primary and elementary levels, prior exposure to French is beneficial. The school provides a French as a Language of Schooling (FLSco) program to support non-French-speaking students.

What languages are taught at EFIP?
A: EFIP offers instruction in French, English, and Albanian. In elementary school, students choose between two options:

  • Option 1: 16 hours of French / 7 hours of English / 3 hours of Albanian

  • Option 2: 16 hours of French / 7 hours of Albanian / 3 hours of English

Starting in Grade 7, students begin a third language — Spanish or German.

What curriculum does EFIP follow?
EFIP follows the official French curriculum, with courses supported by the CNED (Centre National d’Enseignement à Distance). This ensures continuity with the French educational system and leads to the French Baccalaureate.

Tuition & Financial Aid

What are the tuition fees?
Tuition fees vary depending on the child’s grade level and family situation (Kosovar families, French families, or families with employer-covered fees). Discounts are offered for multiple children: 2nd child: -15%, 3rd child: -20%, 4th child: -20%.

Are there any financial aid options?
EFIP does not offer internal scholarships. However, French families can apply for financial aid through the French Embassy in Kosovo. Eligibility criteria include French nationality, residency in Kosovo, and registration with the French Embassy. Read more.

EFIP provides several services to support families, including:

What support is available for students with special needs?
 EFIP is committed to inclusivity and provides support for students with special educational needs, assessed on a case-by-case basis.

What platform does EFIP use for the Parent Portal?
EFIP uses Éducartable, a secure and user-friendly application created for French schools. It offers three key tools: the homework notebook, the communication log, and the class journal. Read more.

Is EFIP accredited?
